Ulmer and Green Claim Overall SJGT Four-Ball Title -- |

| Michael Ulmer & Alex Green Four-Ball Champions |
Michael Ulmer of Fairhope, Alabama and Alex Green of Point Clear, Alabama were crowned the overall champions of the SJGT Four-Ball in Opelika, Alabama on January 31. The team from south Alabama won in dramatic style when Ulmer drained a 15 foot birdie on the 18th. The Lake Course at the Robert Trent Jones Grand National resort was the host course for the event. Saturday’s round was played in cold and windy conditions. Sunday’s weather was somewhat better, although the players had to endure windy conditions as well.
The Ulmer/Green team won the Male division by one shot over Colt Crymes and Dylan Freeman of Athens, Georgia. Ulmer/Green fired 71-66, while Crymes/Freeman shot 72-66. Third place in the Male division went to Josh Klipstein and Justin Cho of Norcross, Georgia (72-69).
The Mixed division title went to Jared Bettcher and Jessica Rouillard of Auburn. The local team had rounds of 74 and 75. Second place in this division went to Lee Mitchell of Oneonta, Alabama and Lakin Eddy of Hoover, Alabama (80-74) by a scorecard playoff over Cody Sapp of Sharpsburg, Georgia and Haley Austin of McDonough, Georgia (78-76).
The Female title was captured by Alex Harrell of Phenix City, Alabama and Alison Hovatter of Meridanville, Alabama. This duo had rounds of 74 and 72 for the win. Sloan Shanahan of Suwanee, Georgia and Jordan Knight of Simpsonville, South Carolina shot 79-76 to claim second place in the division. The team of Taylor Appleyard of Prattville, Alabama and Ashlee Beck of Athens, Alabama finished third with rounds of 79 and 77.
